Cost Controller & Analyst

About the role

The SAR Cost Controller & Analyst provides hands‑on financial controlling and business partnering support to SAR‑supported functions. You will act as the financial compass, turning complex data into clear insights that guide decision‑making and drive cost discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with function leads to provide finance business partnering and cost analysis.
• Analyze cost drivers at cost‑center and department level and communicate results to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Support Outlook, Target and Budget cycles, including variance analysis and financial commentary.
• Execute month‑end close activities such as accruals, reclassifications, allocations and FTE postings.
• Review actuals versus targets, investigate variances and communicate key drivers.
• Manage cost‑center and FTE planning during planning cycles.
• Support Capex controlling, business cases and capitalization activities.
• Monitor data quality, identify issues and ensure timely corrections.
• Track project budgets, monitor spend and ensure financial compliance.
• Contribute to process improvement, digitalisation and automation of controlling activities.
• Leverage AI‑enabled tools and analytics where available to enhance insights and detect anomalies.

Required profile

• Finance professional with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Hands‑on approach to financial controlling and business partnering.
• Ability to explain complex financial information clearly to non‑finance audiences.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on cost optimisation and risk identification.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and month‑end close processes.
