Corporate Legal Officer

About the role

People Tech Group is seeking a Corporate Legal Officer to support its operations in Hyderabad. The role involves providing comprehensive legal guidance across corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, while managing civil and criminal litigation and immigration processes. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with applicable laws and help mitigate legal risks for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Handle civil and criminal litigation, coordinating with external counsel and managing court proceedings.
• Draft, review and vet contracts, agreements, legal notices and internal policies.
• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial and regulatory issues.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and corporate governance standards.
• Maintain legal documentation, case records and filings.
• Liaise with government authorities, legal bodies and regulatory agencies.
• Support internal stakeholders with legal risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Assist with immigration-related processes, including visas and compliance documentation.
• Manage dispute resolution, arbitration and legal negotiations.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the business.

Required profile

• LLB or LLM from a recognized university.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate legal functions.
• Strong experience handling civil and criminal cases.
• Good exposure to contract management and legal compliance.
• Basic understanding of immigration laws and processes.

• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
