Corporate Auditor – Internal Audit (Asia‑Pacific)

About the role

BASF is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join the Corporate Audit team within its Asia‑Pacific hub. The role supports the Board of Executive Directors by providing independent assurance on risk management, control, and governance processes across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the internal audit plan in line with BASF’s audit standards and procedures.
• Assess the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
• Audit financial and operational processes, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and provide guidance as needed.
• Stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant, Chemical Engineer, Data Scientist or equivalent academic background.
• Professional certification: CIA (required) or in progress; CFE or CISA are a plus.
• 4–7 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or related fields.
• Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and resilience.
