Coordinator, Transportation Execution

About the role

The Transportation Execution Coordinator supports Corning’s global logistics network by ensuring shipments move smoothly and on time. Working across all transportation modes, the role focuses on accurate real‑time data entry and proactive issue resolution to maintain supply‑chain continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Book, confirm and schedule shipments with Corning logistics providers for ocean, air, truck, parcel and rail.
• Enter daily milestones and updates for all global ocean and air shipments into the ERP system.
• Provide track‑and‑trace support, escalating issues as needed across all transportation modes.
• Manage a daily “Hot List” of critical shipments and communicate status updates to key stakeholders.
• Input and maintain transportation transactional data such as transit times and order close‑outs in the ERP system.
• Participate in or host regular operational review meetings and submit air freight approvals (PTAs).

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle high‑volume data entry accurately.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate updates with internal teams and external providers.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of logistics procedures and supply‑chain disruption mitigation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for transportation transaction management.
• Experience using track‑and‑trace tools for shipment monitoring.
