Cooling Technician – Installation & Maintenance

About the role

The Cooling Technician will work on‑site in Hyderabad, handling the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of Newtronic’s cooling systems and laboratory equipment. This full‑time position ensures equipment operates within required temperature ranges while complying with safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC components.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and execute corrective repairs to minimise downtime.
• Calibrate and test laboratory equipment to verify stable temperature and environmental conditions.
• Maintain detailed service logs, maintenance records and calibration reports.
• Follow all relevant safety, quality and regulatory guidelines during service activities.
• Coordinate with service teams and customers to schedule visits and provide technical support.
• Support after‑sales service activities and deliver technical feedback for product improvement.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in refrigeration, HVAC and cooling technologies.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, wiring schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with installation, commissioning and preventive maintenance of laboratory or industrial equipment, preferably in pharma/healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with quality, regulatory and safety standards such as GMP.
• Excellent documentation skills for service logs and calibration reports.
• Diploma or ITI in Refrigeration & Air‑Conditioning, Electrical, Mechanical or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Willingness to travel locally for service calls and handle emergency breakdowns.
