Cook for Student Coding Club

About the role

The Cook will be responsible for preparing and serving daily meals and snacks for the TCET Shastra‑Coding Club’s events, meetings, and workshops. This full‑time, on‑site position in Mumbai supports a vibrant student community by ensuring food is tasty, safe, and served on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Plan simple, event‑friendly menus and source fresh ingredients.
• Cook a variety of dishes and snacks for regular club activities and special gatherings.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, storage areas, and workstations in line with hygiene standards.
• Manage basic inventory, track supplies, and coordinate re‑ordering with vendors.
• Collaborate with student organizers to understand event schedules and dietary requirements.

Required profile

• Strong cooking experience with the ability to produce diverse, quick‑service meals.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and basic nutrition for a student audience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual kitchen tasks safely.
• Good communication skills to work with students, faculty, and suppliers.
• Commitment to an inclusive, respectful club environment.
