Controller / Manager – NetSuite (Hyderabad)

About the role

The Controller will lead end‑to‑end accounting activities for an operational consulting business based in Hyderabad. You will work closely with operations and consulting teams to ensure accurate financial tracking, timely billing, and reliable reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and perform bank reconciliations.
• Post journal entries, accruals, provisions and adjustments during period‑end closing.
• Prepare client invoices for time‑material, milestone‑based or manpower utilization projects and validate billable hours.
• Track receivables, follow up on outstanding payments and produce ageing reports.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial close, and prepare MIS, revenue, cost and profitability reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Process vendor invoices, consultant payments, employee reimbursements and payroll coordination.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Ensure statutory, tax and regulatory compliance with external consultants as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including ERP migrations (e.g., NetSuite).

Required profile

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance or related field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in services/consulting or project‑based environments.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, invoicing, receivables tracking and reconciliations.
• Mandatory exposure to payroll processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to work with US‑based CFO and internal stakeholders.
• High ownership, attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
