Continental Kitchen Commis (Indian Curry Section)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Commis to join the continental kitchen of an Accor‑affiliated hotel. The successful candidate will work primarily in the Indian curry section, supporting the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in delivering high‑quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mise‑en‑place and cook a variety of Indian curry dishes, including gravy‑based, dry, vegetarian and non‑vegetarian recipes.
• Follow standardized recipes and cooking methods as directed by senior kitchen staff.
• Control portion sizes and minimise food waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the curry work area.
• Store food items in compliance with HACCP and safety guidelines.
• Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
• Continuously develop skills related to Indian cuisine.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary Arts certification or diploma from a recognised institute is preferred.
