Continental Chef (Chef de Partie) – Full-time

About the role

We are looking for a Continental Chef (Chef de Partie) to lead a dedicated section of our continental kitchen at Glaze Bakehouse & Kitchen in Bhubaneswar. The successful candidate will ensure consistent quality, taste and presentation of continental dishes while supporting menu development and special creations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, cook and plate menu items according to established standards.
• Maintain portion control, quality and presentation for all dishes in the assigned section.
• Supervise, train and guide junior kitchen staff, delegating tasks efficiently.
• Enforce strict food safety, hygiene and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Monitor inventory, support stock rotation and communicate supply needs to the head or sous chef.
• Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth overall operations.

Required profile

• Professional experience as a Continental Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a restaurant, hotel or bakery kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of continental cuisine preparation, cooking methods and plating.
• Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Ability to supervise and train junior staff and work effectively under time pressure.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills, including mise en place and stock control.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
• Relevant culinary education or certification is preferred.
