Consultant – Product & Innovation Development

About the role

PwC is seeking a Consultant to lead design and new product development for handlooms and handicrafts. The role involves working closely with client teams, artisans, and district clusters to ensure innovative, market‑relevant products that meet quality and certification standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of handloom and handicraft products.
• Collaborate with client teams to align product concepts with market trends.
• Conduct training on quality management, certification, IPR and geographical indications.
• Visit district clusters to address artisans’ design queries and provide SOP guidance.
• Ensure product development remains responsive to market demand and stakeholder needs.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree in Management (MBA), Product Design, Industrial Design, Textile Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in product design, innovation, and new product development.
• Experience in quality management, IPR, and product certification preferred.
