Construction Supervisor – 33kV Switchgear Package

About the role

The Construction Supervisor (SPS – 33kV Switchgear Package) will lead the installation, testing and construction activities for a power generation project. You will ensure that all work complies with project specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements and the overall schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections of 33kV switchgear, protection panels, control systems, transformers, cables and related electrical installations.
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors to guarantee adherence to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project procedures.
• Verify work‑front readiness, including material availability, permits, tools, equipment and manpower.
• Monitor installation of switchgear panels, bus ducts, control and power cabling, earthing and auxiliary systems.
• Identify construction deficiencies, generate NCRs, track punch‑list items and support their closure.
• Coordinate interfaces between electrical, civil, mechanical, communication and commissioning disciplines.
• Assist with FAT/SAT, energisation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE, permit‑to‑work, lockout/tagout and electrical safety standards.
• Prepare daily construction reports, inspection records and progress updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 20+ years of experience in electrical construction and supervision.
• Minimum 10 years working with 33kV substations, switchgear systems or power‑plant electrical installations.
• Experience in PMC, EPC, utility or power‑generation projects is preferred.
