Construction Project Manager – Plumbing & Firefighting Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead plumbing and firefighting system installations on large‑scale MEP projects. The role involves managing all phases from planning to commissioning for commercial, industrial and high‑rise residential developments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end execution of plumbing and fire‑protection projects, controlling scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Oversee installation of water supply, drainage, fire sprinkler, hydrant and suppression systems in line with NBC, NFPA and local authority standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, civil and structural teams to ensure seamless MEP integration.
• Review and approve shop drawings, BOQs and material submittals for plumbing and fire‑protection works.
• Manage subcontractors, labour deployment, procurement and site safety protocols.
• Prepare progress reports, risk registers and milestone updates for senior management.
• Ensure testing, commissioning and NOC documentation are completed for fire authority approvals.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; PMP certification is a strong plus.
• 8–15 years of hands‑on experience in plumbing and/or firefighting projects, with at least 3 years in a project‑management capacity.
• In‑depth knowledge of NBC 2016, IS codes, NFPA 13/14/20 and TAC/AERB fire‑protection guidelines.
• Proven ability to handle multi‑crore MEP contracts for commercial towers, hospitals, airports or large industrial plants.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling tools.
