Construction Manager – Solar Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a large‑scale, grid‑connected solar project (Project Joyce). Based on‑site, you will manage all construction activities, ensure compliance with safety and company standards, and take economic responsibility for materials, personnel and contract costs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the entire construction effort, ensuring design, budget and schedule are met.
• Interface with owners, lenders, engineers, government officials, subcontractors, landowners, local communities and security.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise all company personnel on the site.
• Ensure adherence to project policies, procedures, safety programs and WHSE standards.
• Provide inputs to PMO, SCM, WHSEQ and engineering functions.
• Assist with implementation and interpretation of WHSEQ and community‑engagement programmes.
• Prepare daily MIS reports and activity plans aligned with the overall project schedule.
• Coordinate equipment, material and contractor availability with the Project Manager.
• Manage site infrastructure, handle local issues and support risk‑assessment for new opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale solar construction projects.
• Strong ability to oversee site operations, administration and cost control.
• Knowledge of WHSE standards and compliance with company policies.
• Excellent stakeholder management with owners, lenders, engineers and community representatives.
• Ability to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
