Construction Manager – Data Center Projects

About the role

vConstruct is seeking a Construction Manager to lead Data Center projects in India. You will own the full project lifecycle, from inception through handover, coordinating a diverse set of technical and stakeholder teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive Project Charter that outlines strategy, stakeholder map, procurement plan, baseline schedule and critical milestones.
• Align all stakeholders to the charter and create a detailed Project Execution Plan, defining information flow and internal approvals.
• Provide sequencing inputs for design reviews, drawing delivery, procurement, equipment installation and commissioning, and guide the Planning Manager in finalising master and detailed schedules.
• Prepare high‑level budgets, establish unit rates for materials and labour, and maintain a cost database reflecting market trends.
• Lead the tendering and bid support process, ensuring accurate documentation and competitive proposals.
• Manage cross‑functional teams—including architects, vendors and contractors—to deliver projects on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading construction projects from concept to handover, preferably in the data centre sector.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of project charter development, execution planning and cost management.
