Construction Manager – Aviation Infrastructure

About the role

Woolpert is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join its Construction Engineer & Inspection team supporting aviation infrastructure projects in the Midwest. The role works closely with design engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure high‑quality delivery of runways, taxiways, aprons, and airfield lighting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage construction inspection and quality‑assurance testing for aviation‑related projects.
• Coordinate change orders, RFIs, budgets, schedules, and contract administration.
• Monitor contractor performance, prepare daily/weekly progress reports, and maintain project documentation.
• Oversee material and workmanship quality to meet project specifications.
• Provide on‑site leadership, issue field directions, and resolve construction issues.
• Develop meeting agendas, facilitate discussions, and document minutes.
• Ensure accuracy of as‑built drawings and enforce job‑site safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of construction management or project management experience.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering and land‑development construction practices.
• Experience with FAA construction specifications is a plus.
