Configuration Management Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions, is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer in Bangalore, India. The role supports manufacturing processes, bill of materials management and change control within an ERP environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Bill of Materials (BoM) creation, maintenance and change processes within the ERP system.
• Support change management activities, including Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Engineering Change Requests (ECR).
• Collaborate with production planning and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate BoM data and process alignment.
• Work across multiple shifts (morning, afternoon, night) as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of manufacturing support experience, or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing and production processes and ability to solve straightforward problems with moderate guidance.
