Computer Network Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an autonomous and high‑integrity Computer Network Security Engineer to join Knowdis.ai in Delhi. You will own the design, implementation and continuous improvement of our network security infrastructure, protecting our AI‑driven e‑commerce platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly secure network architectures.
• Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
• Continuously monitor networks for vulnerabilities, active threats, and potential breaches.
• Lead incident response efforts, conduct root‑cause analysis and rapid remediation.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, data‑protection laws, and security best practices.
• Partner with internal IT, engineering, and data‑science teams to harden systems and enforce strict access controls (Zero Trust).
• Educate staff on security best practices, mitigate insider threats, and foster a security‑first culture.

Required profile

• Based in Delhi (or willing to relocate immediately) and able to work onsite in a hybrid model.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of proven experience as a Network Security Engineer, Information Security Analyst or similar role managing complex IT infrastructure.

Required skills

• Next‑Gen firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
• Deep knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing and switching.
• Experience with VPN architectures (IPsec, SSL).
• Proficiency with SIEM tools.
• Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
• IDS/IPS and network monitoring solutions.
