Computer Aided Design (CAD) Designer – Jewellery

About the role

We are seeking a talented CAD Designer to create commercially viable jewellery pieces for the B2C market. The role combines creative design, technical modelling, and cost optimisation to deliver high‑quality collections that meet brand standards and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D CAD models for rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets and other fine jewellery items.
• Develop designs that balance aesthetics with cost efficiency, adhering to brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with costing and production teams to ensure manufacturing feasibility and optimise metal weight and gemstone settings.
• Produce high‑quality renders for product approval, marketing assets and client presentations.
• Iterate on existing designs based on customer feedback or production constraints.
• Maintain organized CAD files and comprehensive design documentation.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in fine jewellery CAD design.
• Proven ability to work on gemstone jewellery collections and understand commercial jewellery trends.
• Strong coordination skills with production, merchandising and cost‑analysis teams.
• Background in product design, mechanical design or a related field is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Rhino, Matrix, MatrixGold and JewelCAD.
• Experience with realistic rendering tools such as KeyShot, V‑Ray or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes and metal weight optimisation.
