About the role

Scale.jobs connects job seekers across several countries with AI‑enhanced tools. The Community Manager will turn the organic word‑of‑mouth network into a structured, high‑engagement community that supports candidates throughout their job search and becomes a powerful acquisition channel.

Key responsibilities

• Select and launch the community platform (Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, subreddit, etc.) and acquire the first 100 active members.
• Design and run regular rituals such as office hours, AMAs with recruiters, resume reviews, offer‑celebration threads, and weekly market round‑ups.
• Identify and empower power users and moderators who can sustain and grow the community.
• Transform member success stories into shareable content and distribute it to relevant audiences.
• Own the end‑to‑end referral loop, ensuring a seamless, rewarding way for members to invite friends.
• Act as the frontline listener for product feedback and relay insights to the product team.
• Report community performance metrics (active members, retention, referrals, applications, revenue).

Required profile

• Proven experience building a community from scratch, with measurable results you can share.
• Strong belief that community is a growth channel and ability to argue with data.
• Excellent, personable writing style that feels human, not corporate.
• Comfortable being visible—your face and name will represent the brand.
• Empathy for job seekers facing anxiety and rejection.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings overlapping US and UK time zones.
• Self‑starter who can move forward without a detailed content calendar.
