Community Manager

About the role

The Community Manager will lead the development of a vibrant, purpose‑driven community within Ekya Schools. Working at the intersection of education, partnerships and communication, you will foster engagement among students, parents, teachers and external partners to bring the school’s thematic vision to life.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture an internal school culture aligned with Ekya’s central theme.
• Design, organise and manage events such as Maker Fairs, parent‑student days, exhibitions and thematic festivals.
• Act as a bridge between parents and the school, ensuring consistent, inclusive communication.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, industry professionals, NGOs, media and tech hubs.
• Represent the school at community forums, education conferences and other public events.
• Create partnerships that support thematic learning and makerspace initiatives, including mentorships and guest speakers.
• Promote the school’s identity and innovation culture through storytelling, content creation and communication strategies.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in community engagement, admissions, parent relations, communications, program management or educational leadership.
• Prior experience in schools, early‑childhood centres, NGOs, museums, experiential learning spaces or cultural institutions.
• Strong understanding of start‑up environments and ability to collaborate with founders, operators and tech‑savvy stakeholders.
• Proven track record in content creation, storytelling or communication strategy (a plus).
