Communications Manager – India

About the role

Airbnb is looking for a seasoned Communications Manager to shape and amplify its story across India. You will lead integrated consumer, corporate, and policy communications, driving proactive storytelling that enhances brand reputation and supports business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute robust communications strategies for consumer, corporate, and policy audiences.
• Lead complex, multi‑channel campaigns that generate positive media coverage and brand favorability.
• Draft and produce story pitches, press releases, messaging guidelines, Q&As, briefs, presentations, and speeches.
• Manage agency partners and coordinate influencer engagement strategies.
• Prepare media briefings, interview support, and public speaking materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with key reporters and understand the Indian media landscape.
• Oversee a busy press office and ensure seamless collaboration with local marketing, policy, and business teams as well as international communications groups.

Required profile

• 6‑10+ years of consumer and corporate communications experience, either in an agency or in‑house setting.
• Proven ability to craft compelling narratives and manage media relations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and juggling multiple priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaborative mindset.
