Commodity Manager – Mechanical Fabrications

About the role

The Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) Mechanical Fabrications Commodity is looking for an experienced Commodity Manager to lead sourcing activities for Collins Aerospace in India. You will manage the end‑to‑end procurement process, develop strategic plans for key commodities, and act as the primary liaison between the India regional team and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the sourcing process from RFQ issuance to contract signature.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for commodities or strategic suppliers.
• Serve as the point of contact between Collins Aerospace India and local suppliers.
• Support negotiations, contract administration, and supplier relationship management.
• Analyze quotes and cost data to create effective negotiation strategies.
• Prepare negotiation workbooks for internal approvals.
• Participate in internal and external meetings (Zoom) and travel up to 35% as needed.

Required profile

• BE or Master’s degree with a minimum of 12 + years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience reading engineering drawings and complex Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Prior price‑analysis and international procurement experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and lead procurement initiatives.
