Commis Chef – Continental (Breakfast & Café)

About the role

Bruno's Cafe is looking for a motivated Commis Chef to join its continental kitchen team. You will help prepare and cook breakfast and café‑style dishes in a fast‑paced, quality‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs with daily food preparation and cooking of continental menu items.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and plating standards to ensure consistency.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, store ingredients correctly, and support stock rotation.
• Coordinate with service staff to deliver dishes on time during peak hours.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Strong food preparation and cooking abilities, especially for continental cuisine.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen sanitation.
• Good communication skills for teamwork with kitchen and front‑of‑house staff.
• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hotel kitchen is a plus.
• Formal culinary training is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and peak periods.
