Commercial Manager

About the role

The Commercial Manager will partner with the Managing Partner to drive international sales and commercial operations for ARAC International LLP. Initially supporting strategic priorities, the role will evolve into an independent leadership position overseeing sales coordination, contract manufacturing, sourcing and business growth across African markets and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and expand international business accounts, ensuring repeat business, product line growth and year‑on‑year revenue increase.
• Maintain proactive communication with African‑linked clients, managing relationships and commercial continuity.
• Oversee existing contract manufacturers and identify new partners for product development, capacity expansion and scalability.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across India, selecting manufacturers and negotiating terms.
• Conduct commercial negotiations on pricing, product development, and long‑term contracts.
• Supervise a Trade Operations team of three and coordinate with the in‑house manufacturing team for accurate order execution.
• Monitor supply‑chain performance, focusing on cost optimisation, service reliability and margin protection.
• Ensure precise order management, documentation, dispatch planning, shipment coordination and routine commercial processes.
• Track receivables, coordinate payables and support working‑capital discipline with customers, banks and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Commercially sharp, execution‑focused professional with experience in international sales and trade operations.
• Proven ability to manage global client relationships and drive business growth in African markets.
• Strong coordination skills across sourcing, manufacturing and supply‑chain functions.
• Experience leading small teams and collaborating with internal manufacturing units.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on cost optimisation and margin protection.
