Co-Foreman

About the role

Groundworks is seeking a Co‑Foreman to work alongside an experienced Foreman on foundation and ground‑work projects. This position offers hands‑on leadership training and a clear path toward a full Foreman role, allowing you to develop crew‑management skills while continuing to perform installation work on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Foreman in leading a high‑performance crew and ensure project quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
• Review job specifications, determine required materials, tools and equipment, and plan daily work on‑site.
• Assign tasks, supervise crew members, and step in as crew leader when the Foreman is absent.
• Install foundation products, troubleshoot issues, and adapt plans to meet company standards and timelines.
• Load, unload and secure materials, operate company vehicles safely, and maintain a clean work environment.
• Complete all required documentation, check‑in/check‑out procedures, and communicate progress and changes to customers.
• Assist in planning, scheduling and tracking labor hours and productivity.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a skilled installer in construction or ground‑work projects.
• Ability to lift up to 22 kg, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform strenuous labor under varying conditions.
• Willingness to lead, mentor and supervise a crew of two or more workers.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow company policies.

Required skills

• Use of trade‑specific installation tools and equipment.
• Operation of company vehicles and safe driving practices.
• Accurate completion of installation documentation and paperwork.
