Cloud Engineer - Windows Administrator

About the role

Netrix Global is looking for a Cloud Engineer who will manage both the company’s and its customers’ IT infrastructure across on‑premises, hosted and cloud environments. Reporting to the TOC/NOC Manager, the role serves as an escalation point for the TOC/NOC, Service Desk and Systems teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, file and print services.
• Manage virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V and VMware) and associated storage (SAN) environments.
• Monitor, manage and resolve backup jobs and restore requests using Veeam, Datto, Carbonite, Evault or similar tools.
• Perform routine updates, upgrades and patches on servers, hypervisors, storage and backup systems.
• Provide guidance and act as an escalation point for TOC/NOC, Service Desk and Systems teams.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, including weekends and after‑hours support.
• Document configurations, procedures and best practices; maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Support client onboarding, service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience supporting Windows/Linux server environments, virtualization and backup technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for direct customer interaction.
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet departmental KPIs.
