Cloud Engineer – Security & FinOps Executive

About the role

The Cloud Engineer – Security & FinOps Executive will support Deloitte South Asia’s initiatives to optimise cloud costs and strengthen cloud security across multiple platforms. Working closely with engineering, security and business teams, you will help maintain a secure, compliant and cost‑efficient cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring cloud security controls aligned with ISO 27001 and CIS Benchmarks.
• Support identity and access management activities, including role assignments, permissions and access reviews.
• Help monitor security alerts, vulnerabilities and compliance dashboards, and collaborate on incident response.
• Analyze cloud usage and cost data across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform, identifying rightsizing and idle‑resource cleanup opportunities.
• Prepare periodic reports on cloud spend, usage trends and variances.
• Support cloud budget tracking, forecasting, tagging strategies and showback/chargeback reporting.
• Assist automation initiatives for cost tracking and security monitoring using native cloud dashboards and cost‑management tools.
• Gather requirements, conduct UAT and support documentation for cloud governance tools.
• Provide basic insights on cost and security metrics to stakeholders and help prepare internal presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Cloud Operations, FinOps or Cybersecurity support roles.
• Basic understanding of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
