Cloud Engineer - Infrastructure as Code (Azure, Kubernetes)

About the role

Chevron's Engineering and Innovation Excellence Center (ENGINE) in Bengaluru is looking for a Cloud Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Azure cloud, automation and DevOps. The role builds, automates and operates scalable cloud infrastructure, supporting modern application platforms through Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage secure, scalable Azure infrastructure using Ansible (primary) and Terraform
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Ensure adherence to security, governance and compliance standards
• Deploy and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, automate scaling, upgrades and monitoring, and integrate Kubernetes with CI/CD and observability tools
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based cloud systems and develop automation with Python, Shell and Ansible
• Support application teams with cloud platform integration and deployments, take part in architecture discussions and design reviews, and document infrastructure, automation workflows and best practices

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, preferably on Azure
• Strong hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud, Kubernetes (AKS) and Linux
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code; Ansible is mandatory, Terraform optional
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for CI/CD and version control
• Scripting in Python, PowerShell or Bash
• Good understanding of cloud security, networking and monitoring, plus strong troubleshooting skills
