Cloud DevOps Engineer

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join the PLM Foundations team in Bangalore. You will design, build, and operate cloud‑native solutions, ensuring high availability and security for critical aerospace applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable cloud architectures on AWS for web‑based applications.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Automate deployment pipelines with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Atlassian suite, and GitHub.
• Manage container orchestration platforms including EKS, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, change requests, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive cloud‑first initiatives and cultural change.

Required profile

• Graduate with 3‑7 years of experience in cloud platforms and DevOps engineering.
• Strong “you build it, you run it” mindset with ownership of production services.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum or Kanban environments.
• Willingness to support European shift schedules when needed.

Required skills

• Programming: Python, Ruby, JavaScript.
• Configuration management: Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, Atlassian tools, GitHub, SonarQube, CheckmarxOne, JFrog Artifactory.
• Cloud services: AWS (EC2, ELB, ASG, S3, Route53, Lambda, EKS, ECS, Fargate), Azure, GCP.
• Container platforms: Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation, Terraform.
• Networking, systems architecture, micro‑services design.
• ITIL framework knowledge (preferred).
