Clinical Pharmacist – Rotational Role

About the role

The NHS Borders Pharmacy team is expanding and is looking for a motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join a rotational programme. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment at Borders General Hospital, delivering patient‑centred pharmaceutical care and supporting the new NHS Borders Clinical Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based pharmaceutical care to patients.
• Contribute to safe, cost‑effective prescribing and medication optimisation.
• Support service development and innovation across the pharmacy department.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and allied health professionals in a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in professional development activities and clinical audits.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with a passion for improving patient outcomes.
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare team.
• Commitment to evidence‑based, cost‑effective clinical practice.
• Flexibility to engage in service development and rotational duties.
