Client Development Partner – Legal

About the role

We are seeking a Client Development Partner – Legal to build deep relationships with law‑firm leaders and help them envision how LexisNexis AI and workflow solutions can advance their strategic goals. This role combines legal expertise with a strategic, outward‑facing sales focus to accelerate adoption of cutting‑edge AI across our existing customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Relationship Managers and Directors to research prospects, execute pursuit strategies, and create new business opportunities.
• Engage managing partners, practice chairs, and firm C‑suite to understand priorities and position LexisNexis as a trusted innovation partner.
• Analyze attorney workflows across practice areas, identifying where AI and workflow solutions can improve client outcomes, talent productivity, and firm ROI.
• Lead high‑impact demonstrations and presentations translating workflow insights into tangible examples of solution value.
• Collaborate with marketing and strategy teams to develop firm‑specific materials, thought leadership, and programs for partners and C‑suite audiences.
• Drive deal progression by aligning stakeholders, addressing objections, and partnering with account executives to secure successful outcomes.

Required profile

• Law degree (LL.B/LL.M or equivalent).
• 8+ years of experience practicing law at a leading firm, preferably in corporate law or litigation.
• Strong executive presence with proven ability to establish credibility with partners and firm C‑suite.
• Fluency in AI concepts and mastery of legal‑technology trends.
• Deep knowledge of legal workflows, use cases, and emerging AI applications.

Required skills

• Knowledge of LexisNexis core product suite, especially Protégé offerings and roadmap.
• Familiarity with law‑firm research tools and AI tools, including document‑management systems (DMS).
• Ability to translate legal workflow insights into AI‑driven solution proposals.
