About the role

The Portland Area Manager will lead our janitorial teams across multiple sites, ensuring cleaning and maintenance standards are consistently met. This role combines leadership, customer service, and operational expertise to deliver high‑quality facility care.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial operations across several locations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
• Manage, train, and develop a team of janitors and supervisors, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understand their needs, and ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, guaranteeing teams have necessary resources.
• Prepare and control budgets for labor, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
• Address client or staff issues promptly and professionally.
• Implement sustainability practices in cleaning methods and products.
• Prepare operational reports and performance metrics for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading janitorial or facilities teams.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to manage client relationships.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to cleaning operations.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
