About the role

The Portland Area Manager will lead our janitorial teams across multiple sites, ensuring cleaning and maintenance standards are consistently met. This role combines leadership, customer service, and operational expertise while upholding health and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial operations at several locations, guaranteeing high‑quality cleanliness and maintenance.
• Recruit, train, and develop janitors and supervisors, fostering a culture of performance and teamwork.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understand their needs, and ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, keeping teams fully stocked.
• Prepare and control budgets for labor, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
• Address client or staff issues promptly and professionally.
• Implement sustainability practices in cleaning methods and products.
• Produce reports and performance metrics for senior management.
