Civil Field Engineer – Substation & HVDC

About the role

Supervise civil and structural works for substations and HVDC terminal stations, covering deep foundations, converter halls, control buildings, trenches, equipment foundations and gantry structures. Ensure quality, safety and schedule compliance on site.

Key responsibilities

• Review approved civil and structural drawings, specifications, method statements and ITPs.
• Verify site grading, excavation, filling, compaction and soil‑improvement works.
• Supervise pile, raft, isolated, machine and equipment foundations.
• Monitor construction of converter halls, valve halls, control buildings and auxiliary structures.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, anchor bolts, concrete works and equipment foundations for GIS, transformers and switchgear.
• Coordinate civil interfaces with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire‑protection and cable‑routing requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of civil‑construction experience.
• Experience in EHV substation, industrial building or major infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of piling, reinforced concrete, structural steel, buildings, roads and drainage.
