Civil Construction Manager

About the role

The Civil Construction Manager leads the planning, execution and delivery of large‑scale civil projects such as high‑rise residential and institutional buildings. Working closely with architects, consultants and contractors, the manager ensures projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of high‑rise civil projects from concept through handover.
• Prepare, monitor and update project schedules, milestones and budgets.
• Review design drawings, GFCs and construction documents for feasibility and compliance.
• Develop detailed cost estimates, BOQs and rate analyses in line with IS standards.
• Coordinate mobilisation of resources, materials and manpower.
• Conduct site inspections, quality and safety audits, and resolve design or contractual issues.
• Manage change orders, certify contractor bills and control project costs.
• Support tender preparation, evaluate pre‑qualification bids and maintain a tender database.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and review variation orders and EOT requests.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large civil construction projects, preferably high‑rise residential or institutional.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering standards, BOQ preparation and cost control.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders including architects, consultants and contractors.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on quality and safety compliance.
