Chief Operating Officer, GCC

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Group Capability Centres (GCC) will lead the execution of the GCC strategy across Bengaluru and Manila. Reporting to the Head of GCC and the Managing Director Bengaluru, the COO is accountable for operational governance, performance, risk management and workforce planning, ensuring the centres deliver value, efficiency and resilience for ANZ.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence, standardisation and continuous improvement across GCC teams.
• Maintain operational resilience through robust contingency planning and Business Continuity Plans.
• Oversee workplace and site operations including facilities, security, transport, travel and employee services.
• Partner with Group Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance and other enterprise stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into scalable outcomes.
• Strengthen governance, reporting and performance disciplines to support long‑term growth.
• Represent GCC at senior leadership forums, influencing strategic decisions and ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience in operational governance and transformation within a large, multi‑site organisation.
• Proven ability to manage risk, controls and workforce planning at an enterprise level.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with a track record of influencing senior leaders.
• Experience overseeing facilities, security and employee services in a complex environment.
