Chemistry Teacher

About the role

The Chemistry Teacher will deliver engaging, concept‑driven instruction to senior secondary students (Grades 11‑12) at Oakridge International School, Bachupally. The role focuses on preparing learners for board examinations, competitive tests, and further studies while nurturing scientific curiosity and laboratory competence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Chemistry lessons for Grades 11 and 12.
• Develop students' understanding of physical, organic, and inorganic chemistry.
• Prepare learners for CBSE/IGCSE/IB board examinations and related assessments.
• Design inquiry‑based, experiential, and student‑centred lessons.
• Conduct practical laboratory sessions and enforce safety protocols.
• Create lesson plans, assessments, worksheets, and question papers.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and address learning gaps.
• Integrate digital tools, simulations, and technology to enhance learning.
• Encourage participation in science projects, Olympiads, and exhibitions.
• Maintain accurate records of performance, attendance, and progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators, and parents.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of the senior secondary Chemistry curriculum.
• Experience with CBSE, IGCSE, IB or other international curricula is a plus.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
