Chemistry Teacher for Grades 8-10

About the role

The Attibele Harvest Innovation Campus is seeking a dedicated Chemistry Teacher to instruct students in grades 8‑10. The role involves delivering the prescribed curriculum with a focus on physical, organic and inorganic chemistry, fostering scientific curiosity and inquiry‑based learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Chemistry lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Teach concepts in Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry with clarity.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments and teaching aids.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations while ensuring safety.
• Assess student performance through tests, projects, practicals and maintain records.
• Provide remedial coaching and doubt‑clearing sessions for weaker students.
• Utilise digital tools such as smart boards and educational software.
• Participate in examinations, PTMs, workshops and school activities.
• Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or related science.
• B.Ed. from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience for grades 8‑10 (preferred).
• CTET/TET qualification may be required for government schools.

Required skills

• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.
• Basic computer and educational technology skills.
