Certifying Mechanic – Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

The Certifying Mechanic is responsible for performing and certifying all maintenance work on aircraft within the scope of their authorization. This role ensures compliance with statutory airworthiness regulations and company standards, guaranteeing that each aircraft is safe and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and certify all aircraft maintenance tasks under authorized privileges.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory airworthiness regulations and company requirements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of company operating procedures, quality, and technical reporting systems.
• Oversee line‑maintenance activities, including subcontracted work, to meet established standards.
• Prepare, control, and clear maintenance documentation in line with approved procedures before releasing aircraft to service.
• Report any occurrence, incident, significant defect, or un‑airworthy condition to the Shift In‑Charge/AME.
• Apply processes defined in the Line Maintenance Manual relevant to the position.
• Execute technician functions as required by the station.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by superiors.

Required profile

• Authorized to certify aircraft maintenance work.
• Thorough understanding of statutory airworthiness regulations and company policies.
• Familiarity with line‑maintenance procedures and documentation standards.
• Ability to report defects and incidents accurately and promptly.
• Willingness to follow directives from supervisors and adapt to station needs.
