Catia Trainer Mechanical

About the role

The Catia Trainer Mechanical will join PUMO TECHNOVATION's campus in Coimbatore to deliver classroom and lab instruction on CATIA for mechanical engineering learners. This full‑time, on‑site role focuses on bridging academic knowledge with industry‑ready design skills.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update lesson plans, presentations, and hands‑on project materials for CATIA courses.
• Conduct lectures, demonstrations, and lab sessions covering 3D modelling, surface modelling, drafting, and assembly design.
• Guide learners through real‑world design projects and assess their performance via assignments and exams.
• Maintain training equipment, CAD workstations, and software installations.
• Collaborate with the training management team to ensure curriculum quality and placement readiness.
• Provide individual mentoring and support a safe, professional learning environment.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in CATIA for mechanical design, including 3D modelling, surface modelling, drafting, and assembly.
• Solid foundation in mechanical engineering fundamentals such as machine design, manufacturing processes, GD&T, and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Experience in instructional delivery, lesson planning, learner assessment, and mentorship.
• Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse learner groups.
• Basic computer literacy with familiarity of CAD workstations, software installation, and file management.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Prior experience as a CATIA trainer, CAD engineer, or design engineer is an advantage.
