Caster Line Mechanical Assembly Fitter

About the role

The Caster Line Mechanical Assembly Fitter works full‑time on‑site in Bhubaneswar, assembling and fitting mechanical components for caster lines and related steel‑fabrication equipment. The role follows technical drawings, specifications and safety standards, and collaborates closely with welders, fabricators and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Align and install mechanical parts for caster lines and steel fabrication equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, adjustments and inspections to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and support equipment setup and commissioning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area in compliance with company procedures.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in mechanical fundamentals and automotive mechanical systems for heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience with mechanical assemblies emphasizing reliability, safety and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly layouts.
• Relevant technical ITI, diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is beneficial.
• Experience in industrial steel plants or caster line operations is an advantage.
• Proficiency in safely using hand tools, measuring instruments and power tools.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and willingness to follow standardized procedures and safety guidelines.
• Physical capability to work on‑site in a demanding environment and collaborate effectively with teams.
