Cashier – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier role is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. The position involves accurate processing of deposits, withdrawals, and other cash instruments while delivering superior customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other cash instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Collect loan repayments as per EMI schedules and maintain appropriate system entries.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty cash register, and assets register; submit requisition forms to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tallying, reconcile transactions, and prepare end‑of‑day branch reports.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and cash custody with the Operations Officer and Assistant Branch Manager.
• Interact with customers, identify cross‑selling opportunities, and educate them on new products and alternate channels.
• Ensure adherence to turnaround times, regulatory compliance, and bank policies for all cashier operations.
• Validate customer authenticity during cash withdrawals and verify deposit slip accuracy.

Required profile

• Experience in cash handling and banking operations.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to address queries and escalations.
• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping and reconciliation.
• Ability to follow banking regulations and internal policies.
