Cashier – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier will manage all cash‑related transactions and operations for multiple branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position reports to the Branch Operation Officer and plays a critical role in maintaining accurate cash flow and delivering superior customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Collect loan repayments as per EMI schedules and update system entries.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty‑cash and assets registers, and submit requisition forms to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, prepare end‑of‑day reports, and ensure accurate vault operations jointly with the Operations Officer.
• Interact with customers, explain repayment dates, promote new products, and guide them to alternate banking channels.
• Ensure adherence to turnaround times, regulatory compliance, and bank policies for all cashier operations.
• Validate customer authenticity during cash withdrawals and verify cash deposit slips for audit purposes.

Required profile

• Experience in handling cash, cheques, drafts and other banking instruments.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping and end‑of‑day reconciliation.
• Good communication skills to assist customers and promote bank services.
• Ability to follow banking regulations, internal policies and maintain confidentiality.
• Team‑oriented mindset to work closely with the Operations Officer and Assistant Branch Manager.
