Cashier – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at the branch in accordance with internal and external banking guidelines. The role ensures accurate processing, daily reconciliation and proper record‑keeping while delivering courteous service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments, and issue acknowledgements.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans, maintaining appropriate system entries.
• Collect loan repayments as per EMI schedules and update the loan repayment register.
• Maintain inward/outward cash registers, petty‑cash register and assets register; submit requisition forms to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, prepare the End‑of‑Day branch report and ensure cash is vaulted securely.
• Interact with customers during deposits and withdrawals, explain repayment dates, and promote bank products and alternate channels.
• Ensure compliance with turnaround times, banking regulations and internal policies for all cashier operations.
• Validate customer identity for cash withdrawals and verify cash deposit slips for audit requirements.

• Ability to work under defined turnaround times and follow banking procedures.
• Reliability in safeguarding cash, keys and other valuables.
