Cashier - Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position involves accurate processing of deposits, withdrawals, and loan repayments while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Maintain inward and outward cash registers, petty‑cash registers and asset registers; submit requisition forms to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tallying, end‑of‑day reconciliation and report results in the Branch report.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and safeguard cash, keys and valuables with the Assistant Branch Manager.
• Interact with customers, explain repayment schedules, promote new products and guide them to alternate channels.
• Ensure adherence to turnaround times, regulatory requirements and bank policies for all cashier operations.
