Cashier – Luxury Retail

About the role

We are looking for a professional, customer‑focused Cashier to join Vanhiam’s luxury multi‑designer apparel store in Bhubaneswar. The Cashier is the final point of contact during checkout, responsible for accurate billing, cash handling and delivering a premium shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer purchases using the POS system, handling cash, cards, UPI and other digital payments.
• Generate accurate invoices, maintain cash registers and reconcile cash at the end of each shift.
• Prepare daily sales and cash reports and assist with audit and stock verification.
• Address billing, payment, return and exchange queries, promoting loyalty programmes and promotions.
• Coordinate with the sales team to ensure correct inventory updates and support store opening and closing procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in retail, preferably in luxury apparel, jewellery or hospitality.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and professional grooming.
• Integrity, accountability and a customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and billing software.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer applications.
