Cashier – Customer Transactions & Foreign Exchange

About the role

The Cashier will manage daily customer transactions at our Mani Majra branch, including cash receipts, payments and foreign‑exchange services. The role ensures accurate processing, compliance with company policies and a courteous experience for every client.

Key responsibilities

• Handle cash receipts, payments and foreign‑exchange transactions.
• Verify customer identification and process money transfers and remittances.
• Balance and reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and generate basic reports.
• Provide clear information on services, fees and procedures to customers.
• Escalate any discrepancies or issues to senior staff promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to keep the service counter secure and efficient.
• Support documentation, reporting and other administrative tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Strong cash‑handling ability with high numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of money‑transfer, currency‑exchange and remittance services or willingness to learn quickly.
• Integrity, reliability and strict adherence to security, compliance and confidentiality standards.
• Ability to work on‑site in Mani Majra in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior experience in retail banking, financial services or front‑desk roles is an advantage.
• Minimum high school diploma; additional finance or accounting training is beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Computer literacy and use of standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
