Cashier (Branch Banking) – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier will manage all cash‑related transactions and operations across multiple branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position is pivotal to the smooth functioning of the branch’s cash handling and customer service functions.

Key responsibilities

• Process receipt and disbursement of cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and cash withdrawals within authorized limits.
• Collect repayments according to EMI schedules and maintain accurate system entries.
• Maintain inward/outward cash registers, petty cash, and assets registers; submit requisitions to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tallying, end‑of‑day reconciliation, and report in the Branch report.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and safeguard cash, keys, and valuables with the Assistant Branch Manager.
• Provide courteous customer service, address queries, and promote cross‑selling of bank products.
• Educate customers on alternative channels for deposits, withdrawals, and inquiries.
• Ensure adherence to transaction turnaround times and compliance with banking regulations and policies.
