Cashier – Branch Banking (Full‑time)

About the role

The Cashier will manage all cash‑related transactions for multiple branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position reports to the Branch Operation Officer and plays a key role in the smooth operation of the branch cash function.

Key responsibilities

• Process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments for withdrawals within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash on withdrawal requests and collect cash on deposit challans.
• Maintain inward/outward cash registers, petty‑cash and asset registers, and submit requisitions to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tallying, end‑of‑day reconciliation and report results in the Branch report.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and cash custody with the Operations Officer.
• Provide courteous customer service, explain repayment schedules, and promote bank products.
• Ensure compliance with turnaround times, regulatory requirements and bank policies for all cashier operations.

Required profile

• Experience in cash handling or teller functions within a banking environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile cash accurately.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers and cross‑selling services.
• Ability to work collaboratively with branch staff and adhere to security procedures.
