Career Counselor – U.S. College Admissions Specialist

About the role

We are a fast‑growing education consulting firm seeking a passionate Career Counselor to guide students through the entire U.S. college admissions journey. The role involves advising on university selection, application strategy, essays, scholarships, and visa processes while delivering high‑quality, personalized support.

Key responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents on U.S. undergraduate and graduate admissions.
• Assess academic profiles and recommend suitable universities and programs.
• Assist with application platforms such as Common App, Coalition, and university portals.
• Review, edit, and polish personal statements, SOPs, essays, and recommendation letters.
• Provide guidance on standardized tests (SAT/ACT, TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo) and extracurricular development.
• Track deadlines, ensure timely submissions, and prepare students for interviews.
• Offer basic advice on the F‑1 student visa process and enrollment steps.
• Maintain regular communication, CRM records, and conduct webinars or seminars.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• 2–5+ years of experience in U.S. college admissions counseling.
• Experience with education consultancies or overseas education firms.
• Familiarity with Ivy League, Top‑100 U.S. universities, liberal arts colleges, and community colleges.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the U.S. higher‑education system and admissions process.
• Excellent essay editing, proofreading, and English writing skills.
• Proficiency with Common App, Coalition, and university‑specific application portals.
• Effective communication, presentation, and organizational abilities.
